The playing profile
Position, level, film, and development help us understand where an athlete can contribute.
The goal is to find the right fit — athletically, academically, and personally.
SPS connects your field hockey goals with the schools, conversations, and decisions that will shape your college experience.
Built around the athlete
A strong college list starts with knowing the athlete.
We look at the player, the student, and the person behind the profile. That perspective shapes the schools we research, the materials we build, and the conversations we help you start.
The academic picture
Interests, grades, and admissions expectations help narrow the search to schools worth considering.
The first introduction
A clear profile and a thoughtful message give coaches useful reasons to learn more.
The bigger decision
Team opportunity, degree options, campus life, and cost all belong in the conversation.
How SPS works
Four stages, shaped around one athlete.
- 01
Listen
We learn about the athlete’s game, academic interests, family priorities, and timing.
- 02
Map
We set school priorities and organize the profile, film, and communication plan.
- 03
Introduce
We help present the athlete to relevant programs and prepare for meaningful coach conversations.
- 04
Refine
As feedback comes in, we revisit the list and help the family compare real options.
The college field hockey landscape
Three divisions. Different ways to find your fit.
82 programs
Division I
The highest level of NCAA competition, often at larger universities with substantial athletics resources. Programs may offer athletics scholarships, but each offer depends on the school and its funding.
35 programs
Division II
Competitive field hockey programs, often at smaller institutions. Schools may offer athletics aid through a partial-scholarship model, alongside academic and need-based assistance.
171 programs
Division III
Competitive athletics within a college experience that emphasizes academics and campus life. Schools do not award athletics scholarships, but merit-based and need-based aid may be available.
